Θα σταθεί στο ύψος των περιστάσεων τις ημέρες του εορτασμού η 96χρονη μονάρχης; Ακίνητη αλλά χαμογελαστή, εμφανίστηκε η βασίλισσα Ελισάβετ σε ανθοκομική έκθεση.
Η βασίλισσα Ελισάβετ, βγήκε από το κάστρο του Windsor και έκανε μία ακόμη από τις σπάνιες τους τελευταίους μήνες, εμφανίσεις της. Λίγο πριν γιορτάσει φαντασμαγορικά τα 70 χρόνια στον θρόνο τον επόμενο μήνα, κάθισε αναπαυτικά στο ειδικό αμαξίδιο και πήγε στην ανθοκομική έκθεση του Chelsea. Αυτή όμως η εμφάνιση θα σηματοδοτήσει και πως θα δούμε την βασίλισσα κατά τους εορτασμούς στις αρχές Ιουνίου. Θα μείνει στο ύψος των περιστάσεων;
Στα ροζ και σε απίστευτα κέφια
Η βασίλισσα δεν κρύβει πια, πως έχει σοβαρά κινητικά προβλήματα. Και για πρώτη φορά χωρίς να ντραπεί, απαρνήθηκε τα ακριβά αυτοκίνητα της βασιλικής συλλογής και κάθισε αναπαυτικά σε ένα ηλεκτρικό αμαξίδιο που την έκανε μία μικρή βόλτα ελάχιστων μέτρων στην ανθοκομική έκθεση του Chelsea. Ντυμένη στα ροζ και πολύ ευδιάθετη, δεν κατέβηκε στιγμή από το αμαξίδιο, ούτε για να περπατήσει να δει από κοντά τα πανέμορφα λουλούδια που της είχαν κάνει εντύπωση. Και από εκεί συνομίλησε με κάποιες από τις εκθέτριες. Χωρίς να πλησιάσει καν προς το σημείο όπως θα δείτε και στην photo gallery που ακολουθεί.

Οι εκπρόσωποι του παλατιού, σύμφωνα με ανεπίσημες δηλώσεις στην Daily Mail, τόνισαν πως γίνονται το τελευταίο διάστημα όλες οι απαραίτητες αναπροσαρμογές για να αισθάνεται όσο το δυνατόν πιο άνετα η βασίλισσα.
Πάντως αυτό το αμαξίδιο προκάλεσε το ενδιαφέρον των βρετανικών μέσων ενημέρωσης. Κοστίζει 78 χιλιάδες λίρες και μπορεί να κάνει 50 μίλια μέχρι να φορτιστεί ξανά.
