Emmys 2023: Στα ύψη το Succession, ρεκόρ ο Pedro Pascal και απρόσμενες υποψηφιότητες

Ανακοινώθηκαν οι υποψηφιότητες για τα 75α βραβεία Emmy που θα τιμήσουν τις καλύτερες τηλεοπτικές σειρές και επιτεύγματα που προβλήθηκαν τη χρονιά που μας πέρασε. Το HBO έχει έναν "εξωπραγματικό" αριθμό υποψηφιοτήτων, το "Succession" έσπασε ρεκόρ και το "The Last of Us" έγραψε ιστορία. Δεν έλειψαν βέβαια και τα αξιοπερίεργα.

Emmys 2023: Τα ρεκόρ, οι νίκες και τα "κουλά"

Η Ακαδημία Τηλεοπτικών Τεχνών και Επιστημών (Academy of Television Arts & Sciences ή αλλιώς ATAS) ετοιμάζεται για την 75η Τελετή της, με τις υποψηφιότητες να ανακοινώνουν η Yvette Nicole Brown και ο πρόεδρος της Τηλεοπτικής Ακαδημίας, Frank Scherma.

Ποιες σειρές έχουν επηρεαστεί από την απεργία των σεναριογράφων (UPDATED)

Στην κορυφή για φέτος, η τελευταία σεζόν του "Succession" του HBO με συνολικά 27 υποψηφιότητες (διάβασε την άποψή μας εδώ). Όχι μόνο αυτό, αλλά έγινε και η πρώτη σειρά που στην κατηγορία Καλύτερου Α' Ανδρικού σε Δραματική Σειρά έχει 3 υποψηφιότητες. Το "The Last of Us", πάλι του HBO, έγινε η πρώτη live-action μεταφορά βιντεοπαιχνιδιού που μπήκε υποψήφια σε όλες τις μεγάλες Emmy κατηγορίες. Με το "The White Lotus" και άλλες σειρές του Max, της streaming υπηρεσίας του HBO, το κανάλι αυτό συγκέντρωσε συνολικά το εντυπωσιακό ποσό των 127 (!) υποψηφιοτήτων και έγινε έτσι το πρώτο δίκτυο (HBO και Max) με τέσσερις σειρές στην κατηγορία Καλύτερης Δραματικής Σειράς από τότε που το έκανε το NBC το 1992 (μόνο του ήταν τότε, εκτός από μία σειρά του CBS που κέρδισε κιόλας).

Στα αξιοπερίεργα για φέτος, κανείς δεν περίμενε να δει το "Andor", την prequel Star Wars σειρά του Disney+, να είναι υποψήφιο για Καλύτερη Δραματική Σειρά (δεν είναι πολύ εύκολο να αναγνωριστούν sci-fi shows). Επίσης, ακόμα πιο αξιοπερίεργο (και ακαταλαβίστικο θα προσθέσουμε), το "Obi-Wan Kenobi" στην κατηγορία Καλύτερης Μίνι Σειράς, πάλι ένα Star Wars show του Disney+, που σε αντίθεση με το "Andor", δεν έχει καθόλου καλή αποδοχή. Μπράβο στην PR ομάδα του Disney+;

Στις μεμονωμένες νίκες, ο Paris Barclay έγινε ο πρώτος μαύρος σκηνοθέτης υποψήφιος για την κατηγορία Καλύτερου Σκηνοθέτη, η Jenna Ortega του "Wednesday" έγινε η δεύτερη νεότερη υποψήφια Α' Γυναικείου μετά την Patty Duke και οι τρεις υποψηφιότητες του Pedro Pascal τον έκαναν τον Λατίνο ηθοποιό με τις περισσότερες υποψηφιότητες σε έναν χρόνο.

Η τελετή έχει προγραμματιστεί για τις 18 Σεπτεμβρίου, αν και οι διοργανωτές είναι σε αναμονή λόγω της απεργίας σεναριογράφων και της πιθανής απεργίας των ηθοποιών.
